Tips for good reference photos
-
Use a high spec smart phone or a DSLR camera to capture all the details of the animal clearly.
-
Try to take the photo at eye level with the animal, as photos taken from above can sometimes distort their appearance and proportions.
-
If possible, take the photo outdoors or in natural daylight to avoid dark shadows.
-
Supplying multiple photos is always a good idea and helps to capture the true fur colour of your pet.
-
Avoid cropping the photos and send them in their original size format. This helps maintain the resolution and detail of the image
-
Head and shoulder portraits generally look better, but feel free to choose a pose which captures your pet’s personality and character.
These are a few examples of good reference photos.
