Prices & Payments

Portrait prices are as per the current published price list on my website. If prices have increased since the client paid their deposit & commissioned a portrait, the client’s price will be locked in at the original price at the time of booking.

For a client to secure a place for a commissioned portrait, they must pay a 50% non-refundable deposit via bank transfer.

The remaining balance & postage payment can be made via bank transfer once the portrait is completed & approved by the client. The client will need to pay the outstanding balance in full before the portrait is dispatched. The portrait will not be dispatched until the full payment has been made.

 

Timescales

An estimated date of the portrait completion will be given at the time of booking. Whilst every effort will be made to meet this, it should not be regarded as an absolute guarantee. Once your portrait is started, it will be completed within roughly 2 -14 days. If the client requires the custom portrait to be completed in time for a specific date, sufficient notice will be required as the waiting list times can vary throughout the year.

Availability can be limited during busy periods leading up to Mothers Day, Fathers Day & Christmas.  ​

If due to any unforeseen circumstances (for example injury or illness) I am unable to meet these timescales, then I can offer you a full refund.

 

Gift Vouchers

A gift voucher entitles the recipient to a hand drawn pastel portrait of their pet according to the size quoted on the voucher.

The gift voucher does not include framing.

Gift vouchers are covered by a 7-day cooling off period from the date of purchase. During this 7-day cooling off period, the client may request to cancel the purchase, & receive a full refund, providing the voucher has not been redeemed during this period.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is shown on the voucher.

To redeem the gift voucher, the recipient must contact Noel Carl Art & provide a photo of the voucher, followed by suitable reference photos of their pet.

Once the recipient redeems their gift voucher, they will be allocated a slot in my schedule.

The recipient needs to be able to provide good quality reference photos of their pet. If the recipient is unable to provide photos of a good enough quality, I will work with them to reach a resolution where possible.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable but can be transferred to someone else if the recipient does not want a portrait.

The recipient may upgrade their pet portrait to a larger size & pay the difference in price. Please ask for this when redeeming the gift voucher.  The difference in price will be determined from my price list at the time of redeeming the voucher. Prices can be viewed on the Noel Carl Art website.

The gift vouchers cannot be downgraded to a smaller sized portrait once purchased.

 

Cancellations & Refunds

The client has a 7-day cooling off period from the date the portrait deposit was paid in which to cancel. They may request to cancel the booking via email & receive a full refund. After this 7-day period, the deposit cannot be refunded.

Due to the nature of custom portrait commissions, once the finished portrait has been approved by the client & shipped, no refunds will be made.

Completion & Approval

If the client does not approve the finished portrait, they are not required to make any further payment & the portrait will remain the property of Noel Carl Art.

The client will have opportunity to make suggestions to a portrait from photographs, which will be carried out at no extra charge, however, if these alterations deviate from the original commission an additional charge may be made to the client.

No amendments will be made once the portrait has been approved.

In the case of pastel drawings, due to the nature of the medium, it’s not always possible to make major changes to an artwork once completed.

Please note, the pet portraits created by Noel Carl Art are drawn in a realistic style but are not hyper realistic or exact replicas of a photograph.

Every effort is made to capture the likeness & character of the portrait subject, presented in a hand drawn art style.

The artist retains the rights to all final artistic decisions.

 

Framing

All portraits are supplied unframed.

The portrait dimensions stated on this website are compatible with standard frame sizes, which are widely available in large high street home wear stores.

Postage & Packaging

All portraits are flat packed, mounted & unframed.

Portraits are shipped in a black presentation box which will be well protected to avoid any damage during transit.

Please note, the Large 16 x 20 portrait is not suitable for the presentation boxes & will be shipped in brown cardboard packaging with suitable protection.

UK Shipping is sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 delivery.

The client will be emailed a tracking link so they can check the progress of the delivery.

Delivery times are between 1 - 2 working days, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Collections

Clients are welcome to collect their portrait in person. Collection is by prior arrangement only.

 

Damages

All portraits are packaged & protected to a very high standard.

In the unlikely event that your portrait does get damaged in transit, please photograph the packaging & portrait, then email Noel Carl Cart immediately. The portrait will need to be returned in its original packaging at the client's cost. Once received, another identical portrait will be created, at no additional cost. The lead time will depend on my schedule & waiting list at the time of the return.
